Trislander Posted May 27, 2013 Report Posted May 27, 2013 Smoke could be turbo related which my galaxy currently has to Quote
andyn666 Posted May 27, 2013 Report Posted May 27, 2013 The rear end feeling like its sliding sounds like bushes. The smoke could be a few things, could be piston rings, valve stem seals, head gasket, blocked crankcase breather, etc. What colour is the smoke? white, blue, black? Andy Quote
seatkid Posted May 27, 2013 Report Posted May 27, 2013 Smoke could be turbo related which my galaxy currently has to Except tin's 2.3 is a petrol engine which has no turbo, andyn666 is on the button plus the rear "slide" could also be shock absorber(s) worn. Quote

tin2.3 Posted May 27, 2013 Author Report Posted May 27, 2013 thanks for the replys, why stay away from autos? Quote
seatkid Posted May 28, 2013 Report Posted May 28, 2013 thanks for the replys, why stay away from autos? High failure rate and very expensive to repair (often more than the car is worth). Stay away from autos that have towed caravans etc or have remapped engines - they are the ones that will fail as the boxes are very sensitive to too much torque. Quote
tin2.3 Posted May 30, 2013 Author Report Posted May 30, 2013 Many thanks for the replies, something's to think over Quote
